Block A Month

If you can sew and want to progress to quilting then this is a great choice. Each month you will learn a new block and your Stars & Roses Sampler Quilt will build up over the year. These smaller quilt blocks of fabric will be made in a variety of patterns which will then sewn together to form the top of the whole quilt which measures approx. 185cm x 185cm (72" x 72"). There will be a 3 hour workshop each month, which will run on a Wednesday morning and will be repeated on the following Saturday for those who cannot attend midweek, or if that suits you better. You will be introduced to techniques such as cutting and sewing blocks, putting blocks together, sandwiching and binding etc.

You will need:

A rotary cutter, quilting ruler, fabric marking pen, quilt pins and cutting mat. We have a limited number of these for your use during the course.

We will provide sewing machines, pattern and full instructions.

Fabrics and thread are not included, you will need the following:

Cream: 3.5m Yellow: 0.25m Khaki: 0.75m Dark Green: 0.5m Dark Blue: 1m Bright Green: 0.5m

Pink: 0.25m Light Blue: 0.5m Red: 0.75m

Level: Suits all levels but must be able to machine sew.

1 workshop per month. Please choose either Wednesday Morning 10am to 1pm or Saturday Afternoon 2pm to 5pm
