Drogheda Quilt For Ukraine

We are raising much needed funds for the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine and are doing what we know best! You can donate anytime on our justgiving page here or in The Crafty Fox, or on the day. The wonderful Elna Andrew designed this quilt especially for the appeal. It includes the national emblems of Ukraine and the white squares will have thoughtful messages embroidered on them. The local quilting groups, The Butterfly Friends and Drogheda Quilters, along with a some other sewing volunteers will be sewing the quilt top on the 19th. It will then be sent for long arm quilting and will hang in our shop for a couple of weeks so people can continue to donate. It will then be presented to Father Vasyl of the Ukrainian Church in Dublin, where he will hang it and use it to raise further funds. All money raised will go directly to the Red Cross as all materials have been donated and everyone involved is volunteering their time. You are invited to join us on the day and offer your support to the effort, where tea, coffee and treats will be served for donations and hopefully we will raise as much money as we can for the Red Cross in Ukraine. We would love to see as many people as possible drop in to support us!
